The beginning of my creative journey began in art college then followed several years as a Graphic Designer.  It took me a long time to dig deep to find my own creative voice as I had been trained to answers brief and bring them to fully form ideas for publication.

 

I was inspired on a trip to India by a Warli wall painting.  The simple imagery to tell a story stayed with me for a long time.  Lockdown happened soon after returning and my life became very small and I became drawn to the everyday events surrounding me.  These became the source of my paintings using simple mark making.  Currently my aim is to communicate quietness and calm.
